How to post an Ad

Before you create your ads, make sure you have signed into your Hire-anything account by clicking Laogin/Register and entering your account information. If you don’t have an account yet, you can register an account in a few minutes before posting.

To post Ads:

1. Click the  Postages  button in user’s dashboard

2. Click on add new postage

3. Fill in the details as required

Not letting you post?

If you receive a please fill out all required fields error or see a section highlighted in red, it means that there is information missing or not formatted correctly. Click on the red section. If it was empty, enter the information. If you already had information in that field, try removing any symbols or specialized punctuation. If it’s a number-specific field (price, kilometres, etc.), make sure you use numbers only. 

Still having trouble? Try clearing your cookies and cache. 

How to Advertise an Item/Service for hire or rent

Before you create your item/service, make sure you have signed into your Hire-anything account by clicking Login/Register and entering your account information. If you don’t have an account yet, you can register an account in a few minutes before posting.

To advertise an Item/Service:

1. Click the Post Item for Rent/Hireor  My Professional Services button in user’s dashboard

2. Click on add new item/service

3. Fill in the details as required

Adding Photos

Photos are the first part of an item/service that most customers see. Adding clear, detailed pictures draws people into your ad. Use all image slots available for each ad.

Tips when taking photos(jpeg,jpg,png),Size(500px by 500px):    

1. Use bright lighting and uncluttered backgrounds

2. Take photos of your item from different angles so customers can get a 360 degree look.

3. The larger the item you’re renting / hiring, the more photo you should take(Max  5).

To add photos:

1. Click on click here to upload image

2. Select your desired images

3. Crop it out to get a best fit.

4. Live preview will be generated has you are cropping at the bottom of the page

Creating Effective Ads

It is easy to post an ad online quickly. But, if you want to rent / hire your item fast, spending some time on your ad will help to catch a customer’s eye. There are many ways make an effective classified ad. Here are a few tips from our experts:

Create Titles that Attract

Hire-anything searches use the keywords included in the title of your ad. To make sure that your ad appears for as many customers as possible, use detailed, specific keywords. Hire-anything allows up to 100 characters – don’t be afraid to use them all.

Add Detailed Photos

Ads with photos get more serious replies than those without. Adding well lit, good quality images to your ad will go a long way in catching a customer’s interest. There is no cost to post a picture on Hire-anything, so take advantage and include multiple images in your ads.

Choose the Category Carefully

It’s important to post your ad to the correct city and category. If your ad is miscategorised, interested customers may have a difficult time finding it. Double check which category ads like yours are usually in and try posting in that category. After checking your category, double check the city your ad is posted in. If locals can’t see it, it will negatively affect your number of responses.

Compare Your Price

One of the most common mistakes that new hosts make is listing their items at too high a price. If your item is used, customers expect a bit of a deal. Look for similar ads on the site to see how other hosts are listing their items. Comparing your price to others should help you gauge the range you want to be in.

Promote Your Ads

Sometimes, an ad might need a little boost to get the exposure it deserves. Free classifieds are a great start, but if you want more exposure, consider promoting the ads

1. Click onPost Item for Rent/Hire  or   My Professional Services button in user’s dashboard

2. Scroll to your desired item/services click on promote (Note you will be charged from your wallet)

3. Fill in the details as required

DELIVERY

Delivery of small items is to be decided and agreed between the owner and the customer. This can be personal pickup or postage.

Large items are always recommended as personal pick up. However, again this is to be agreed between the customer and owner.

Please ensure you meet up in a public place for safety

How to edit an Ad

1. Click edit button.

2. Editing an ad follows the almost exactly the same steps as posting an ad. To edit:

Sending & Receiving Messages

Whether you’re renting / hiring, or offering a service – being able to talk to each other is the heart of any deal. Here’s how to get started.

Sending Messages to an Ad

1. Contact the host/owner of an item or service provider by clicking the Email button found under the Contact Details section of an ad. 

2. Type your message into the box. Remember, detailed messages mean less back and forth and more time to enjoy your day.

3. Click Send.

Receiving Messages and Sending Replies

1. Log into your account, then click on the user menu at the top of the page.

2. Select Messages.

3. Click on the conversation you’d like to reply to.

4. Type your message into the box that says Send message to…

5. Click Send Message.

Before the rental

Find an item or service provider nearby

Search for the items/service provider you’re looking for and filter by location.

Request and verify

1.You book a direct reservation or send a request to the lender / service provider for the dates you’d like the items .

2. Place the order 
3. The total amount for renting or hiring the item or service is debited from your debit or credit card (Note this amount is not available for the host until you have confirmed you have received and used the item or service)
4. To confirm order click onOrder Item Listor Order Service List depending whether its service or item and click confirm
5. To reject order click onOrder Item Listor Order Service List depending whether its service or item and click reject
6. If your order is confirmed you will get email notification .click onOrder Item List or Order Service List depending whether its service or item   to check the status
   7. To complete order click on Order Item List or Order Service List depending whether its service or item and click complete

NOTE (Please ensured that you have used the item or services before completing any order).

If rejected the amount is returned back to your bank account

Arrange handover with the owner

Use the process and chat to arrange convenient times with the owner/service provider and ask any questions you might have.

During the rental

Enjoy your rental and return on time

Make the most of your time with the item and then return it safely to the owner at the end of the rental.

Need more time?

Be sure to check in with the lender and book extra days if the item is available and you want to keep it for longer.

How to get paid;

1. Add a payment method

Click on Payment Manager

Click on Add new payment method

Select Stripe

Complete your details on the PROVIDED LINK generated by the system. Any account created without the provided link  is consider invalid

NOTE: select your preferred payment method by click on MARK symbol of the payment method details card

2. Click onEarningsto move your earnings from the website to your Stripe account

Identity verification  

Before you can get paid make sure your identity is verified

How get verified

1. Click on turn "on camera”: make sure you grant web camera/ camera access on your computer or mobile devices. If you getting errors, clear all access granted and refresh the page.

2. Make sure you face fit in the circle once the camera is on

3. Click Snap and check preview and ensure the picture is clear enough and not blurry

4. Save the pic and move to ID card upload

You can upload any of the following:

1. Driver s license

2. Your country government issued ID card 

3. Take the picture of the ID card,

4. Crop out the any background that is not part of the ID card,

5. Don’t crop out the edges of the ID card; do not upload a digital copy

Why list on hire-anything?

• After you have registered, you can list specific products, goods, places, and services you have for hire, rent, lease or let.

• Make sure you profile is up to date, with a description of your business or yourself, and your contact details

• You may include a detailed description, photos, and even bond/deposit requirements.

• You define the hire rates and optionally the quantity you have on offer.

• Any special rates, discounts, or terms can be entered in the description or terms.

• Customers can view your listing s details and can place order

• The hire-anything website will calculate an estimated cost for the booking for you and the customer

• You are notified by email of a request, and upon viewing may confirm the booking or reject as you please

• The customer pays you directly for the hire. Associated costs shall be paid by you to hire-anything.

• Once the hire period is completed, we will deduct a Commission fee from your hire-anything account
